Book Report: MIsogyny

Lately, I have read several books that discuss the role of misogyny and patriarchy in very different ways. Some of the books, I stumbled across, but I preordered Jessica Valenti’s Abortion: Our Bodies, Their Lies, and the Truths We Use to Win and started to read it immediately. As a long-time reader of Valenti’s Substack Abortion Every day, I thought I knew what to expect: I was familiar with the moving goalposts, the lies, the contempt for women’s health and lies, and the dangerous cruelty with which women are treated. It didn’t make me cry. Instead, I was filled with rage, both at what women are made to experience and what society for some reason, has chosen to accept. How is it that in 2024, women are still not considered full humans?
