Week 4: Showing Up

Day 26: On the Solace of Doubt

Summary: We often have a way of sorting things out: First we figure out what’s going on, then we get a handle on the situation, and only then do we craft a response. This may cause us to get trapped in indecision as we feel we never have all the information we need. Perhaps we can never know exactly what’s going on and that it might be better for us as individuals to accept our finite knowledge.

We’re back to accepting our limitations. As a person with tiny, miniscule control issues, I would personally prefer to be able to game out all my options like in a chess match with all available information at my fingertips before I make a careful decision. More often than not I get stuck in the idea/research stage. Accepting uncertainty is not my forte.

Homework: Learn that I can never know everything.
