SKUGGKRIGET
In November 1941, Ebba Gerlach, one of Sweden’s first female war correspondents returns home after being expelled from Berlin for asking difficult questions about German war crimes on the Eastern front. Now, she has one article left to write: a story about a Jewish widow who is fleeing Germany with her daughters to the safety of neutral Sweden. Ebba is planning to meet the refugees as they are smuggled ashore, but the family never shows up at the meeting place. Instead, a stranger is found murdered. As Ebba tries to find out what happened, she learns that neutral Sweden isn’t as peaceful as she had believed and that the influence of Nazi Germany stretches far inside its borders.
“...I am eager to join Ebba Gerlach on her next reporting trip...”
